What can I do with an art digital media certificate/degree?
Students completing the art digital media degree or certificate of achievement will be working toward careers as web designers, video editors, digital effects artists, game designers, sound designers, and streaming media specialists, as well as a host of career paths centered around technologies still to be developed.

Art digital media jobs pay 65% more than the average Bay Area salary. According to Salary.com data as of October 2005, entry-level production staff and clerical salaries begin above $30,000. Workers with more specialized skills, such as creative directors and programmers typically earn above $50,000-$70,000. Producers earn $50,000-$100,000 and art directors make $60,000-$100,000.

When are classes offered?
Classes are offered both day and evening. Most classes are full-term, but some are offered in a shorter format. Consult the course schedule or DVC web site for current information.

How long will it take to earn a certificate/degree?
The certificate of achievement is designed as a three semester sequence involving a total of 32-33 units of study. Associate degree requirements can generally be completed in two years of full-time study.
