- October/November is the application period for CSU and UC Fall 2010 admission. Don't wait! Visit the Transfer Center for a schedule of Application Labs and Personal Statement Workshops.
- October 15th is Transfer Day! Over 75 colleges will be on the DVC quad from 10 a.m.-1 p.m.
The California State University (CSU) system has implemented a system-wide closure for winter/spring 2010. Details and exceptions are updated regularly at www.csumentor.edu/filing_status/. Please contact a DVC counselor for further information and course planning to prepare for fall 2010 transfer.
- Important enrollment fee increase notice
Due to a recent State budget decision, California Community College enrollment fees have been increased from $20 to $26 per unit effective for the fall 2009 term. Students who have qualified for and received approval for the Board of Governors fee waiver will have their full enrollment fee waived and no further action is necessary on their part. Students who have already submitted fees at the $20 per unit rate will be required to submit payment for the difference. Payments can continue to be made on WebAdvisor, TREG, and in-person at the college. - Now is a good time to start your scholarship search. Begin by creating a scholarship profile at: www.fastweb.com, www.collegeboard.com and/or www.petersons.com.
- Be sure to schedule an appointment with a DVC counselor early!
- It is never too early to schedule an appointment with a 4-year university representative.
- Go to www.assist.org to locate major prerequisites.

- UC Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) filing period has begun
Are you interested in signing a Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) for Fall 2010 admission with UC Davis or UC Santa Cruz? If you meet the minimum eligibility criteria and only have DVC transcripts, you may meet with a counselor during Express Counseling to sign the contract. If you have records from schools other than DVC, you must schedule a 30-minute counseling appointment. The UC Davis TAG must be postmarked by September 30, 2009, and by October 15, 2009 for UC Santa Cruz, so be sure to schedule your appointment as early as possible! - Fall 2010 TAG agreements for UC Irvine, UC Merced, UC Riverside, UC San Diego, and UC Santa Barbara are requested at the time of filing the UC application if you meet the minimum eligibility requirements. The filing period is November 1 - 30, 2009. Visit the Transfer Center for more information.
