DVC Commons Project

The Commons Project, currently under design and funded by the Measure A+ Bond Program, will dramatically transform the center of our campus. It will include new facilities for Student Services functions, the Hotel/Restaurant Management program, and Food Services. Importantly, the Project will also create a new expansive and inviting Student Commons, the new heart for our campus that will be bounded by the new facilities, the current Book Center, and the Student Union. The Commons Project will demonstrate DVC leadership in the area of sustainability, will be LEED certified, including numerous energy saving and sustainable design features. The development and completion of the commons project is broken down into six phases: scoping, programming, schematic design, design development, construction documents, and construction administration. Click here for definitions of these phases.

Project deliverables
